We are asking you to team up with the Child Advocacy Center and show the Rutherford County community your commitment to child abuse victims.

Hometown Heroes Walk for Children will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 in Murfreesboro. Registration will start at 10:45 a.m., speakers at 11:30 a.m., and the walk will begin at 12:00 noon. Complimentary shuttles will run from the Child Advocacy Center to the Civic Plaza kick-off from 10:30-11:30 a.m. This FREE event will conclude at the Child Advocacy Center, located at 1040 Samsonite Blvd., Murfreesboro, TN.

The Child Advocacy Center Board of Directors will make a decision closer to the date of the event on whether this will be an in-person event, virtual walk, or a hybrid event with some participants participating in-person and others walking in their neighborhood. This decision will be made based on the COVID-19 pandemic infection and vaccination rates in our community.

When you partner with the Child Advocacy Center, you are supporting child abuse intervention and prevention services for children and families. In the last 20 years, the Child Advocacy Center in collaboration with the Department of Children’s Services, law enforcement, and the District Attorney’s Office have worked together to investigate and prosecute 16,000 child abuse cases, assist over 24,000 individuals, and train over 12,000 people how to protect children.
